School Song
The school council decided they would like to have a school song. Each class member of the school council gathered information from the students in their class about our school. These are some of the children's thoughts about Whitehill Primary School.
Miss Diggle then went away and wrote the lyrics to our School Song with the help of her good friend who produced the backing music.
We wanted the song on a CD so our next step was to record the song in a recording studio (staff room).
Two children from every class were chosen to record the song and then teach the song to the rest of the school.
The Lyrics to our School Song
Whitehill clap clap, Whitehill clap clap
We work and play and share our day
With all our friends who shout HURRAY!
We love Whitehill, a happy and caring school
Our jumpers blue, we smile all day through
Learning here is cool
Feel safe at Whitehill , our bright and colourful school
From far and near, you are welcome here
Our teachers ROCK!
Whitehill clap clap Whitehill clap clap clap
Our next job was to design the art work for the CD cover. Miss Diggle held a competition within school and the winners had their design printed onto the School Song CD which was sold in school for £2. All proceeds going to the music department school fund so we can buy new musical instruments. If you would like to buy a CD of the school song please ask at reception.
